Picc said that Jeff said he would not print new greed tokens in existing slots, but I don't know where he got that. If true, prohibiting certain tokens and prohibiting certain slots are functionally equivalent.

If Jeff did say that, then printing of the AoTF has already proven that the statement was false/misunderstood/whatever.

Not necessarily, because it was all in context of 2015 token development, and AoTF was already pretty much a given. I took it to mean there would be no future greedy neck/ring/charm tokens other than those four.

But I could be wrong

No, you are correct. I was thinking the post you had linked to was from earlier in the process before the AoTF had been announced. Sorry.

I'm in software QA in my day-job, so sometimes I latch onto the oddest little things. It's what they pay me to do, but here I suppose it just annoys the forks and other assorted cutlery out of people sometimes.

Re: AoW status check 4 years 10 months ago #66

I think what Brad is saying makes sense.

I just feel it's incredibly weird the LoF can allow a reequip because treasure stacking is too powerful, but a Monk can't switch melee weapons if they equip bracers because allowing them to actually attack a character if that one was immune to the type of damage their braver deals?

And maybe it's just me, but before the AoW was changed to be random, since LoF was a 2015 token designed with the expectation AoW wouldn't be random in 2015, did LoF always specify how it interacted with random treasure enhancing tokens like AoW or Special?

Have you ever wondered why some dice feel lucky while others roll like crap? They may not be properly balanced. Check this video out:

Before anything is done, I will like to said that I'm so sorry to do this Druegar, first and upmost before I start to really like to explain myself of what it's really what it is that we are doing as my perspective on this matter that people has a problem with the concept of it.

I knew this was before as your term of checking the balance of the dice, but my terminology of this matter has change through times so much that people forgotten easier and can't recall what is so obvious to other made misunderstood in this conflicting debate.

Point being we use to call it what was known back than as the proper term was "loaded dice". This concept was meant for and been use throughout history for gambling. There for the term that be known to say commonly were the House always win because the odd favor itself that for reason. Even those it is known that also was card counting were and has been legal to use, but Las Vegas, Atlantic City are known to black list or banned from their facility as in those who make the rule, control the game or condition and also what there are no arbitrary as in oversight or third-party make it fairness.

There also the entertain business practical that is still use today, but today we call it playland or theme park. By in the yesteryears of long ago were call carnival, which was known for rigging the game as such. This was started the gypsies and through this create the rogue society. The one person that is so popular known for this in the 1919 "P. T." Barnum was an American showman and businessman remembered for promoting celebrated hoaxes and for founding the Barnum & Bailey Circus. Although Barnum was also an author, publisher, philanthropist, and for some time a politician, he said of himself, "I am a showman by profession...and all the gilding shall make nothing else of me", and his personal aim was "to put money in his own coffers". Barnum is widely, but erroneously, credited with coining the phrase "There's a sucker born every minute".

It is also worth noticing that we follow the standard of the D&D Edition as such if you could use rare token as the Treasure Map to equal seven common tokens of the Fragrant Treasure Map that equal to 7x treasure pull from the different than the usual standard treasure box we are normally use today from that of 2011 tokens collection for only those period of times and expired and omit for further use of it. The rare tokens are usually lower magic, then the ultra-rare is the next step as upgrade go and so on and so on because of the indicate of the +1 and the non-magic are those of the uncommon and common, but fall under this category. But now you are telling us that the enhance treasure pull has it strictly policy when you use LoF than the use of the other UR and relic without such restriction. Only different from the Treasure Map and Fragrant Treasure Map and LoF is that there is more tokens now since 2011 as in ETP category as tokens go. Addition when it was announce recently that the maximum treasure pulling has been reduce from 17x to 13x. Due to cost efficiency on his part as businessman and game designer and doesn't include us into this matter at all. But the designing of new yearly set of tokens for that year as theme TD event ahead of times, then he want us to put our input into it as always. The more popular token the more we want to buy because we are involve into development.

So please don't kill the messenger when Druegar is concern and especially me when I point it out as such. This is my excerpt and not opinions or comments that is taking lightly on this matter because we are all effect by this as consumers. Respectably to all fellow gamers that is included as well.

LoF never stacked with TEs.

I'm not sure how many people who wear an AoW would actually wear LoF. Odds are they have better options. And less than 20% of that small number will roll the +5 loot.

Brad, is it more important who specifically this affects or is it just the principle that is important? Because to me, it's just the principle of it. But if you need an example, I can easily provide you with the exact party that plans to combo these tokens.

Re: AoW status check 4 years 10 months ago #70

I'm may be a little off topic, but this thread has me abit confused. Does the AoTF stack with the CoA? It does seem that the CoA restricts certain tokens, not slots as Druegar says, but I seem to remember reading somewhere that the AoTF does not stack with the CoA. Could someone clarify this for me?

You knew this was coming...

And yes, the CoA talks about tokens, not slots, but a lot of things were said during development that seemed to imply it was the same thing. But apparently not everyone took it that way.
