UPDATED 10/13 - IN ALL CAPS

Changed Greater Alchemist Pouch and Fallen Star Mushroom

Below are the preliminary recipes for the 2014 Transmuted tokens. Please give us your constructive feedback. I realize that there can probably never be a consensus on the exact recipes, but I do think we can all agree to treat each other well.

Thank you. The tokens can be seen at the link below.

Thanks.

Well, I was sure wrong on the CoA recipe. Not a fan of the point system concept. Liked the original idea of 4 URs better. On the other hand, I'm feeling much better about the big pile of philosophers stones I have accumulated. ;)

Borderline for me to make one at this point. Multiyear project if at all.

I like the Earcuff recipe.

Jeff, thanks for the recipes! I'm sure you put a lot of work on them, with tons of conflicting recommendations.

Icecrag Charm recipe looks perfect.

I am very disappointed in the Charm of Avarice Recipes. Those are much higher than I'd hoped for, and certainly out of my price range to outfit my group. I thought a Eldritch type of recipe was much more appropriate, since it isn't adding any abilities, just consolidating into one slot. Especially since it is duplicating the HoP effect, which was supposed to be off-limits.

If the recipe stays as is, I'll be sticking with my individual HoP, RoR, and CoGF tokens and won't be transmuting for any Charms of Avarice.

Also, I'm not sure the point system makes a lot of sense for the second recipe for the Charm of Avarice since this is a Legendary, and at some point in the future the roles of the tokens may be reversed, with (for instance) the Ring of Riches being in print and the Amulet of Treasure Finding being out of print and selling at a premium.

If you want to go that route, maybe it's best to say one point for any TEUR that is in print, and two points for any TEUR that is out of print.

Or just require any seven TEUR's - there are probably people that will be willing to trade two AuTF for one RoR currently.

By my math, the HoP is valued at approximately $500 in trade goods plus 3pts of TEURs (so 3 PYPs this year). I think that's a solid value for the HoP and shouldn't upset any HoP owners.

I think the second recipe of the CoA benifits long time supporters, who don't have HoP. It also opens it up to new people

Mike you are making an assumption that the RoR and CoGF will be reprinted. We don't know that

But I do like the idea of in print and out of print tokens having diff values.

I'll leave the initial debate to others with more on the line but even with recipe #1 I couldn't see myself dropping 40k for Flint's Charm just to free up 2 slots. 40k can buy a lot of URs.

But then you need slots to put those URs in ;)

Reworking some faulty math here....

It is a great observation and both are great ideas, I prefer the in-print/out-of-print system you suggest.

The CoA also accounts for future treasure URs as well.

I'm not really making an assumption, I did say they may be reversed, not that they will be reversed. :)
